This definitely IS NOT fake news! Sometime after the Holy Week, AHEAD Tutorial and Review will be hosting its first large scale review – the AHEAD Review Sampler! The Review Sampler intends to give students the fighting chance in passing their upcoming college entrance exams from the comfort of their homes in light of the possibility of an extended quarantine.
Students do not need the extra stress of wondering which college they’re going to go after graduation. They’re already suffering from stress for being cooped up inside their house for several weeks now. They’re bored, having played all the video games they have, repeatedly. They’ve racked up at least 50+ hours on Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley just to cope with boredom.
AHEAD, on its part, intends to offer these kids a more meaningful alternative to cope with the stress, keeping up with academic demands from the comforts of their own home!
So How Does This Work?
The AHEAD Review Sampler is a FREE week-long online review program that will help students keep their minds sharp during the enhanced community quarantine. The sampler will kick-off with a pre-test that will allow students to determine which subjects they need to brush-up on. This will be followed by two-hour classes on Math, Science, and English, to be conducted for an hour per day, for the next six days.
AHEAD intends to ensure that when the whole Coronavirus disaster is over, students can walk out of their homes and into the exam room feeling more confident than before. Exams may be scary but with a little practice and review, they’re bound to get easier!

Where do AHEAD’s Teachers Come From?
Our teachers are the creme-de-la-creme of the top three schools. All AHEAD Lecturers must be honor graduates from either UP, Ateneo, or La Salle. We believe that if a student aspires to become an Atenean, they need to be taught by an Atenean. This also goes for UP and La Salle. AHEAD wants its students to have the biggest edge they can get in entering the top three schools.
Each of our teachers is a specialist in the subjects they teach. Every AHEAD teacher we deploy to teach our students must go through a stringent screening process and prove themselves both a teacher and a learned individual.
How Much are the Classes?
The classes are FREE. Meaning, no payment required! If you have a laptop, a stable internet connection, and available when the class starts then you’re good to go.
Do We Have to Bring Anything?
It’s best to bring a notebook to take down any tips or advice your teacher might give. You can also use it to write down any questions you might have for the teacher.
How do you intend to address questions when there could be so many of them?
After each session, the floor will be open for questions. But given the limited time we have, not all questions will be answered “live”. Answers to additional questions may be sent via email or posted via our FB page.

Students are already stressed with the #LuzonLockdown. But that doesn’t mean learning should stop. It’s also during these stressful times that they must continue to learn so they’ll keep their mind preoccupied in a useful way and have an easier time making sense of things. After all, an active mind allows one to overcome stress!
