You have to start organizing your prom to-do’s in the same way that you attack your test review checklist.
Prom night is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events in any student’s high school life. Countless movies have made this most romantic of nights as the highlight of their stories from Mean Girls and Pretty in Pink to Twilight and Never Been Kissed.
If you want to have the best prom night ever, you’ve got to do some serious planning ahead. You have to start organizing your prom to-do’s in the same way that you attack your test review checklist.
Three months before that fateful night, you have to pin down the two most important elements of a hip and happening affair: your date and your outfit. Prom night will be ten times more memorable if you get to spend it with someone special to you—and it would be even more fabulous if you are wearing a cool ensemble.
Make sure your ensemble fits you perfectly by scheduling a fitting 6 to 8 weeks before the date. This will give you ample time to have it altered, if necessary. Book other appointments in advance as well like a trip to the salon to have your hair done. Plus, do not forget to schedule a short meet-up between your date and your parents. Having your parents know who you’ll spend this special night with will give them a general sense of ease.
While these preparations may put some dent into your study schedule, make sure that you are not left behind in your classes. If necessary, sign up for academic tutorial sessions with AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center. This way, you won’t be thinking of unmet academic requirements and failing marks on the dance floor—and you can fully enjoy all the magic and mystique that comes with this extraordinary event.
Just had my prom last weekend! It was the best ever! Maybe AHEAD should organize something like a promenade? Nope! Just kidding! But a reunion would be nice. Calling all my AHEAD classmates! :)
