Having a tutorial and review center outside of Metro Manila may have its own ups and down. For AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center franchisees Cecille Cuna and Cindy Cua, however, business has never been better.
The two recently renewed their partnership with AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center for their Alabang and Dagupan City branches respectively. For Cecille and Cindy, making education their business offers rewards more precious than gold.
Being in the tutorial business is very fulfilling because I see our students getting better in their academic work. Although some of our students have graduated, they still come by the center sometimes, says Cindy, who opened her franchise in Dagupan City in 2006.
At 23, the business management graduate made a bold move and put up her own business. While going into retail would have been easy, Cindy felt the need to address what her hometown was lacking.
I thought it was a good idea because out of all the basic needs, I noticed Dagupan lacked services related to education, she says.
Meanwhile, Cecille took her husband’s advice to get an AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center franchise for Alabang in 2007. Ricardo Cuna is the president of the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc. (AFFI), and knew that AHEAD is a good business venture.
Owing to the good reputation of AHEAD, I didn’t have trouble getting clients. Students no longer had to travel a long distance to Quezon City to attend a good tutorial and review class, says Cecille.
She adds, AHEAD has given me a chance to prove my worth¦ I also developed close ties with the students and their parents. Some often come back to visit and say that they miss going to their review classes. I deal with a lot of people and I see that they leave the center smiling and satisfied.
By getting an AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center franchise, these two ladies have hit two birds with one stone running their own business while helping students achieve their dreams.
It’s good to know that we have a made a difference in their lives, Cindy says
