In today’s times, society is no longer bound by the social constructs that dictate how women should always play second fiddle to men. GoNegosyo is an organization that recognizes Filipinas who serve as inspirations throughout the years. Last February, it held its 8th Filipina Entrepreneurs Summit at the World Trade Center in Pasay City which featured a number of brilliant women. Now, GoNegosyo recently published a special edition of their book entitled “Inspiring Stories of Women Entrepreneurs.” The book was first published back in 2009 and this special edition features 25 new stories. A part of this very prestigious list of extraordinary women is AHEAD’s very own president and founder, Ms. Rossana Llenado.
In 1995, Ms. Rossana Llenado founded AHEAD Tutorial and Review Center with the goal of helping students prepare for the college entrance examinations of UP, Ateneo, and De La Salle. In the process, she inspired thousands of young people to aim for higher goals and go beyond their personal best. Due to her countless innovations in the education industry, she has been awarded numerous times by different local and international organizations. She has also been recognized by the University of the Philippines Rural High School and the University of the Philippines Los Baños as one of their most outstanding alumni for her contributions in education and community extension service.
In AHEAD, Ms. Llenado continues to dedicate her time, energy, and resources to create multiple avenues for both students and professionals to achieve excellence in their respective endeavors. She grasps every opportunity to help students gain a competitive advantage and be ready for all the challenges that may come their way.
Ms. Llenado has truly paved the way for better learning, and has served as an inspiration for countless people to continue working hard in their own respective fields. Hopefully, her story and the stories of the several other women featured, can have an impact on the next generation of Filipina Entrepreneurs to push them to always strive for something great.
