Teachers, being considered as our second parents, are among the most influential people in our lives. From kindergarten to college, they are the ones who have tirelessly educated us both in knowledge and in values to help us become who we are today. Needless to say, they are very important in any community for they carry the responsibility of shaping the youth. However, it is not very often that we express our gratitude to our teachers for everything they have done for us. So this coming October 5, as we celebrate the National Teachers’ Day, let us take time to say thank you and appreciate our beloved mentors, educators, and teachers.

Thank you for patiently teaching me.

We all know that there have been days when we were lazy or too stubborn to listen in class. There were also those times when we failed to submit our homework, papers, or requirements. It may have taken a long time and a lot of repeats before we understood our lessons. But through all of these, our teachers never stopped trying to help us learn. It is definitely not an easy job, but somehow our teachers have that burning passion and overflowing patience to continuously educate their students.

Thank you for correcting my mistakes.

Being in school have helped us grow way beyond books and the curriculum. Throughout the school years, our teachers have been the ones who constantly watched our backs. They guided us into becoming better children, better friends, better students, and better people in every way they can. Teachers are not afraid to tell us when we have done something wrong, and are always there to offer us their assistance. This alone can tell just how much they really care for their students and how invested they are in their vocation.

Thank you for all the love and effort you give.

Checking countless papers and quizzes, going to school five days a week or more, preparing lessons daily, and dealing with students of different personalities must be a very tough job. It is our teachers’ love that keeps them going despite the hardships that may come with being a teacher. Of course, they also get happiness from their students and from knowing that they are making a difference in our lives. If it wasn’t for our teachers, we would not be who we are today.

So this National Teachers’ Day, why not take the time to appreciate your own past and present teachers for what they have done for you. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, a simple message or surprise is sure to make them happy and give them a little reminder of why they chose to become teachers in the first place. It is now our turn to give back the love and effort they have tirelessly given us. Without a doubt, teachers are our very own heroes without capes, and angels born without wings.

As our simple way of saying “Thank you!” to our amazing teachers, AHEAD Tutorial & Review Center will be offering a special teachers’ discount if they enroll their children on October 5. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish our dear mentors a happy teachers’ day!
