How to Apply to the Ateneo College Entrance Test

Author: Darla L. LLenado

Congratulations, you have decided to take the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET). To begin the application process, you must go to your school’s guidance office, Ateneo’s Office of Admission and Aid, or a Provincial Testing Center to get an application form. Applications for SY 2019-2020 begin July 9 and end August 31 2018.

After filling out the application form, you must also fulfil other requirements: two (2) recommendation forms from teachers, a personal essay based on the prompt given in the application form, the data privacy consent form, and the acknowledgement slip.

Local high schools and high schools from abroad have different testing fees. For local high schools, the testing fee is PhP 600, and for those abroad, it is USD 50 or PhP 2,800.

Along with the four-page application form, you must submit your high school record, the principal’s recommendation form, and the ACET exam permit. You may personally submit your application to the Office of Admission and Aid, or to your nearest Provincial Testing Center. Otherwise, a mailing address can be found on the Ateneo website wherein you can send your application.

More details can be found on the Ateneo website.

After registering, the only thing left is to take the ACET. Results will be released from January to March of 2019.
